CELESTITE
Celestite is a delicate blue-to-clear mineral made of strontium sulfate, known for its soft, sky-like color and glassy crystal formations. It forms in sedimentary rocks, often in limestone and dolomite deposits, where mineral-rich groundwater slowly precipitates crystals in open cavities over long periods. Historically, celestite has been used mainly as a collector’s mineral and in ornamental carvings, valued for its calming pale-blue appearance and naturally occurring crystal clusters.
